The composition of quartz stone is silicon dioxide, which is very stable in physical and chemical properties. It has a Mohs hardness of 7, has brittleness, pyroelectricity, piezoelectricity and other characteristics. It can be made into glass after melting. It can be used to make optical instruments, glasses, and glass. Glass products such as pipes; also can be used as ceramics, refractories, abrasive materials, metallurgy, construction, chemical, electronics, aerospace and other industrial raw materials.

Quartz stone grinding process

Quartz powder is generally divided into four types: coarse powder processing (0-3mm), fine powder processing (20 mesh-400 mesh), ultra-fine powder processing (400 mesh-1250 mesh) and micron powder processing (1250 mesh-3250 mesh).

First stage: crushing
Large pieces of quartz stone are crushed by the crusher to the feed fineness (15mm-50mm) that can enter the mill.

Second stage: grinding
The crushed small piece of quartz stone is sent to the silo by the hoist, and then sent to the grinding chamber of the mill by the vibrating feeder for grinding.

For fine powder processing, YGM Raymond mill, MTW European version mill can be selected. For ultrafine powder processing, CLUM ultrafine vertical mill and HGM micro powder grinding mill are generally used. For coarse powder processing, PCC European coarse powder mill.


Third stage: Grading
The ground quartz powder is classified by a classifier, and the unqualified powder is classified by the classifier and returned to the host for re-milling.

Fourth stage: collecting powder
The fine powder meets the airflow and enters into the dust collector through the pipeline for separation and collection. The collected finished powder is sent to the finished product bin by the conveying device through the discharge port, and then packed by a powder tanker or automatic baler.
